Meet Talena Cuthbert

With over 20 years in the music industry as a vocal coach, singing teacher, and singer-songwriter, I bring a wealth of experience to vocal training. Having sung with the melodic metal band Gone Til Winter for over two decades, toured as a vocalist, written solo alternative music, and worked as a sound healer, I’ve developed a distinctive, personalised approach that emphasises individuality and creative expression.

I’ve had the privilege of working with vocalists across a range of genres, including Rock, Metal, Pop, and RnB. My clients include Burton C. Bell from Fear Factory, Jacob Parkinson from Tortured Demon, Rosie Smith from Cradle of Filth, and Jorja Douglas from FLO. These experiences, combined with my own time as a touring vocalist, have given me a deep understanding of the unique demands faced by singers in different musical styles.

I’m skilled at listening deeply to each singer's needs and tailoring my coaching to suit their goals and unique voice. Working with singers at all levels—from beginners discovering their voice to professionals refining their craft—I focus on both the technical aspects of vocal training and the exploration of each singer’s unique style, helping them find powerful, authentic ways to express themselves.

If you’re ready to enhance your skills and reach the next level in your singing journey, I’d love to help you unlock your full potential. Get in touch today!

Personalised Coaching for Musical Growth

My primary focus is on training vocalists and singers to build the stamina, technique, and resilience required for touring, gigging, and being studio-ready. Whether you’re seeking vocal rehabilitation, expanding your range and power, or mastering techniques to overcome performance anxiety, I’m here to guide and support you at every stage. Together, we’ll work toward your goals and uncover the full potential of your voice.

Beyond vocal development, I’m passionate about supporting singers’ overall well-being, especially those needing help with vocal recovery or performance anxiety. Singing is a deeply personal and vulnerable art form, and I create a safe, nonjudgmental space for exploration, practice, and growth. By emphasizing healthy breathing, posture, and vocal care, I work closely with each student to nurture a unique style and sound. To build confidence and address performance anxiety, I incorporate targeted exercises that not only improve technique but also promote assurance and emotional well-being.
